YOUR WILLIAMSON
It was such an honor to photograph the cover image for the May 2025 “Ladies Edition” of Your Williamson magazine, featuring the beloved Mary Pearce—longtime preservationist and true guardian of Franklin’s history. We photographed Mary in front of the Old, Old Jail (also known as The Big House), which now serves as the headquarters of the Heritage Foundation of Williamson County. This historic building, once home to Tennessee’s third county jail, has a gritty, complex past—and its thoughtful restoration represents everything Mary has fought to protect over the years. Capturing her legacy in that exact location felt both poetic and powerful.
In addition to photographing the cover, I was also featured in a two-page artist spotlight inside the same issue titled “Start Messy, Start Scared, Just Start.” The article shares my creative journey and why I believe photography is more than just beautiful pictures, it’s a way to celebrate purpose, connection, and people stepping into their light. Being included in this issue alongside so many incredible women was a full-circle moment, and I’m so grateful to contribute to a visual legacy that honors both personal stories and our shared community history.
