I bring professional studio lighting, a seamless or custom backdrop, and the kind of direction that makes people look the way they want to look on a big night. The setup integrates into your venue without interrupting the flow of the room.

We plan the setup together
Before the event, we talk through the venue, the schedule, and who you want in front of the camera. I handle the logistics of the studio setup so you do not have to think about it.
I bring the studio to you
I arrive early, build the portrait setup inside your space, and have everything ready before guests arrive. Professional lighting, a clean backdrop, and consistent results regardless of the venue's existing light.
Portraits on your timeline
Pace is built around your event. High-volume activations move efficiently and keep the energy up. Smaller, more intimate gatherings allow us to slow down and craft each portrait like it belongs in a magazine. We figure out what works best when we talk through the details.
Gallery-ready delivery
Two options depending on your needs: immediate digital delivery the day of the event, or fully retouched portraits within 3 to 5 business days. Either way, formatted for press, digital media, and personal use.

How is this different from standard event photography?
Standard event photography documents the room. The Portrait Experience photographs the people in it, intentionally, with studio lighting and direction. Guests leave with something they will actually frame or use professionally.
How much space does the studio setup require?
The setup fits comfortably in a 10 by 10 foot footprint and can be adjusted for tighter or larger configurations. A venue walk-through is completed ahead of the event when possible.
Do you bring your own lighting and equipment?
Yes. A full professional Profoto lighting setup, seamless or custom backdrop, and everything needed to produce consistent, editorial-quality results regardless of the venue's existing light.
How soon are portraits delivered after the event?
Fully retouched portraits are delivered within 3 to 5 business days. Rush delivery is available for press deadlines, and timing is confirmed as part of the booking agreement.
Do you travel for events outside Nashville?
Yes. The Portrait Experience is available for events across Tennessee and nationally for destination engagements. Travel fees apply for events outside Middle Tennessee and are discussed during the planning process.
