Tone Central Station

Rock ’n’ Roll Revival in Nashville // Music Inc. Magazine

Photographing Todd Austin and Jamie Jackson for Music Inc. Magazine was like stepping into a backstage pass kind of day—equal parts glam, grit, and guitar solos. These two are the ultimate yin and yang: Todd shows up in a purple paisley blazer, rhinestoned shoes, and a gravity-defying hairstyle that deserves its own spotlight, while Jamie keeps it cool with laid-back vibes and the kind of beard that says “I know good tone when I hear it.” Together, they’ve built Tone Central Station into a Nashville sanctuary for musicians—and they brought all the personality to our shoot.

I’m beyond excited that the image we created—full-on performance pose, guitars blazing, fog swirling—was chosen to kick off the entire feature. It’s not just a photo; it’s a visual anthem for their comeback story. In the guitar room, I matched their vibe with gelled purple lighting to mirror their stage setup, and they handled the fog like seasoned pros. We also snagged a moody portrait out front of the store, with their deep purple wall and vintage concert posters as the perfect backdrop. This shoot was equal parts editorial and epic jam session, and I’m so proud it helped tell their story from the first page. Total legends, total vibe.
