The Portrait Experience: Your Next Event’s New Best Friend

"The difference between a great portrait and an ordinary portrait is the experience."

Providing pop-up portraits for attendees is a great way to add something unique and custom to your event.

This isn't a photo booth...

This is...

My pop-up portrait studio is all about making your guests/attendees feel like they are total rock stars! These portraits are unique to each individual. They can be as simple as a solid-colored backdrop or if the event calls for it a completely custom set. It's perfect for everything from birthday parties to corporate events and everything in between. These creative portraits of your friends/attendees are captured on-site and delivered to them within minutes via the attendee's email.

Client // Adam Bergh

This particular event was in celebration of REED Public Relations' 10-year anniversary! President and Founder, Lauren Reed, is one of my favorite clients and we've been working together for over eight years now. The event was hosted at the exclusive Soho House Nashville, so of course, I wanted to create a scaled-down version of The Portrait Experience to give Lauren and her attendees some extremely memorable photos.

Lighting for this shoot consisted of a single off-camera flash and a large 5-in-1 reflector. My main light, a Godox AD 200 Pro, modified with a large umbrella and diffusion fabric, was placed camera right about 45 degrees from my subject(s). This large spread of light provided ample coverage for groups and individuals. Having my main light on a rolling light stand allowed me to easily adjust the placement to create more moody images for specific shots. The white side of a 5-in-1 reflector was placed camera left close to set to bounce light back onto my subject's faces and slightly fill in the shadows that were created by the main light.
